Serving Opportunities

WHERE YOUR GIFT FIND A PURPOSE

MESSIAH'S HOPE TEAM IS WAITING FOR YOU

SERVE WITH US

Serving is one of the most meaningful ways we build up our congregation. Whether you love teaching, praying, welcoming, or supporting behind the scenes, your gifts can strengthen our community and bless others. Explore the opportunities below and find where God may be calling you

Children’s Ministry

Teaching our young children about God may be the most critical aspect of our Messiah’s Hope ministry.

We follow the standards of Ministry Safe and all of our volunteers are required to pass background checks. We need more volunteers who love to minister to our younger congregants.

If you love to work with children and would like to be on our Children’s Ministry Team, contact Amanda Fenno.

Youth Ministry

We need people who love working with our teenagers.

If that is you, we welcome your help and your ideas on how to engage our youth. Our team lead is Isreal Fields.

Women’s Ministry

We are planning for women’s events throughout the year.

We wecome creative ideas for women’s get-togethers. For those who enjoy collaborating with other women, this would be an excellent area in which to serve.

Our Women’s Ministry Leader is Lucy Wallace.

Men’s Ministry

Throughout the year, our Men’s Ministry groups will gather for various events.

If you would like to be a part of the leadership team for Men’s Ministry, email: info@messiahshope.com

Prayer Team

Messiah’s Hope believes in a foundation of prayer as we move forward together in our faith journey.

We have opportunities for altar prayer leaders as well as members of our Intercessory Prayer Team. We will also hold a church wide prayer event to start the New Year. We need to keep our church bathed in prayer. Jim and Jennifer Richard lead our prayer team.

Greeters and Ushers

Greeters are the first people that people see when they enter Messiah’s Hope.

If you like engaging with people and have a heart to provide a warm welcome, then we’d love to have you serve on our Greeters’ team. We always need ushers to graciously help people to find a place to sit. We also need their assistance with our communion service.

Dustin Wallace leads the Ushers and Greeters Team.

Care and Concerns Team

We want our congregants to feel loved when they experience challenging circumstances.

Led by Mike and Sharon Johnson, this team visits our beloved parishioners during times of difficulty. Don’t be surprised if they call on you just to say, “hello.” If you are interested in joining our Care and Concerns Team, click the button!

Parsha Readers

During the Saturday services, a volunteer reads a portion of Scripture.

A parsha is a specific section or portion of the Torah (the first five books of the Bible) that is read aloud in Jewish synagogues every week as part of the annual cycle of readings.  This is in keeping with the historic Jewish tradition of reading a part of the Torah every Sabbath. Sara Wright is the leader of this aspect of the service. If you are interested in being one of our Parsha contact us!

Liturgy Team

Have you studied Hebrew, and are you looking for a place where you can practice it?

The Liturgy Team might be the answer. Every week, we end the Shabbat with a blessing over the wine, the spices, and the fire. This involves a combination of using both Hebrew and English. If interested, Pastor Greg Rosenberg leads the Liturgy Team.

Oneg Team

A team of volunteers provides a fellowship snack after our Saturday service. This is called an “Oneg.”

The word “Oneg” means joy. It is a great opportunity for our parishioners to get to know each other. If you love to cook, this is probably the place where you may want to serve. Stacy Wyche leads the Food/Oneg team.

Media/Tech Team

Are you technically minded? Do you have a background in media?

Like any church, we need people to serve on the audio board and in videography. Isreal Fields is in charge of the Media/Tech Team; if interested contact us today!

Financial Ministry

We are looking for individuals interested in growing their understanding of how to handle the income that God provides.

We will be implementing financial Bible studies and stewarding groups in the future.
