Purpose
The purpose of this policy is to ensure the safety of our congregation, staff, volunteers, and visitors during severe or unsafe weather conditions. This policy outlines how decisions will be made, communicated, and implemented when weather may impact church services, programs, or facility operations.

1. Decision-Making Authority
The following individuals are responsible for determining schedule changes or closures due to inclement weather:

• Senior Pastor Greg Stone
• Executive Pastor / Church Administrator Lisa Worley

Decisions will be made using available weather information from trusted sources such as the National Weather Service, local emergency management, and area school district closures.

2. Criteria for Closure or Schedule Changes
Church services, events, and activities may be delayed, moved online, or canceled in the following situations:

• Winter storms (ice, snow, hazardous road conditions)
• Flooding or flash flood warnings
• Severe thunderstorms, high winds, tornado watches or warnings
• Extreme heat or cold that could endanger attendees
• Power outages or unsafe building conditions

Safety is the primary concern, if in doubt, we will err on the side of caution.

3. Communication of Changes
If a service, program, or event is altered due to weather, the church will notify the congregation as soon as possible using:

• Social media (Facebook and Instagram)
• Email and or text notification system

We aim to communicate decisions no later than:

• 6:00 AM for morning events
• 2:00 PM for evening events
• Two hours before Saturday services

4. Saturday Worship Services
When weather makes in-person worship unsafe:

• The service may be moved online (livestream or prerecorded).
• Important announcements and giving options will be provided digitally.
• If online service is not possible, a devotional message will be posted when conditions permit.
